St. Luke’s Community Health & Engagement Launches Upstream Prevention Video Series

Last week, St. Luke’s Community Health & Engagement officially released a new three-part video series highlighting key upstream prevention topics for youth mental health in Idaho.

The video series explores three of the key risk and protective factors for youth mental health challenges that Communities for Youth has identified during various youth data collection efforts, including:

Teens Having Access to Trusted Adults

Achievement Culture (a key driver of youth stress)

Youth Social Connection

“St. Luke’s is proud to come alongside partners and community members in taking action in response to data captured by Communities for Youth. It’s important to broaden awareness around the drivers that can positively impact young people’s mental health, and equip everyone with ways to make a difference,” Angie Gribble, St. Luke’s Senior Director for Community Health and Engagement, said.

Each video is just 2-3 minutes long to help ensure audiences, including parents, grandparents and extended family, educators, and concerned community members, can easily access and share the information and tips in each. Community partners are also invited to use and distribute the videos as resources.
