Communities for Youth (C4Y) is excited to welcome Kenzie Campbell to the team!

What is your role at Communities for Youth and what kinds of things will you be responsible for?
I am an Initiative Coordinator for Communities for Youth. My role is to work with current and emerging initiatives to promote upstream interventions to improve youth mental health and well-being outcomes. In the day-to-day, that looks like collaborating with school and community leaders on coalitions, hosting data walks for schools on their localized data, and spreading the message of upstream prevention in our communities.
What drew you to working with C4Y?
I worked with C4Y as an intern in 2021 during graduate school and loved being part of the team. I’ve worked in public health for the last handful of years, promoting protective factors and reducing risk factors for young adults, so returning to C4Y to lead a regional initiative felt like a natural next step. The people on the team and the collaborative environment are a big plus for me!
What are you most excited about working on at C4Y?
I’m a lifelong Idahoan, so working with C4Y to make our communities the best possible places for kids is something that’s close to my heart. Idaho has strong community values and was a great place to grow up, and I want to help ensure that remains true for future generations of young people living here.
What's something you like to do for fun outside of work?
I am an avid mountain biker on the local trails here in Boise! We have hundreds of miles of trails practically in our backyard, and strong conservation values have helped them remain high quality. That is such a special part of living here and has been a great way for me to connect with my fellow community members.
