C4Y Nampa Initiative Announces Coalition Home

Updated: 3 days ago

Communities for Youth (C4Y) is excited to announce that the C4Y Nampa Initiative will be housed by the 2C Kids Succeed and Healthy Impact Nampa coalitions. This partnership is an important step toward strengthening upstream prevention efforts to support youth mental health and well-being in the Nampa community.

2C Kids Succeed and Healthy Impact Nampa share a commitment to prevention and community-driven solutions, values that closely align with C4Y's work. Overall, their combined experience and community history provide a strong foundation for launching the C4Y Nampa Initiative.

Jean Mutchie, who oversees both coalitions, has been an instrumental factor in getting C4Y’s work up and running in the Nampa area.

“Healthy Impact Nampa and 2C Kids Succeed will be the perfect collaborative setting to promote the well-being of our Nampa youth,” Mutchie said. “ We are so excited for the work we will be doing with Southwest District Health and Communities for Youth.”

Building on the strengths and history of the C4Y, the C4Y Nampa Initiative will have access to a variety of capacity-building, technical assistance, and other supports to help them build on local strengths and address upstream prevention needs.

Tara Woodward, the newly named C4Y Nampa Initiative Lead, will support this work in collaboration with coalition members and partners, including Southwest District Health, to maintain alignment with C4Y as the coalition progresses through C4Y’s Process Model each year. Woodward also serves as the Community Lead for the C4Y Marsing Initiative and brings valuable experience to launching the work in Nampa.

“Southwest District Health is proud to partner in efforts to support the health and well-being of young people in Nampa. In collaboration with local partners and the Nampa School District, we are working together to thoughtfully develop and implement data-informed strategies that support positive outcomes and make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth,” Woodward said.
