How Can Boise Organization Partners Support Youth Well-being in our Community? Join us on January 15th!

Updated: Jan 9

If you are an organization in Boise that cares about Boise teens, join us on January 15th at the Idaho State Museum for our Annual Progress and Next Steps Meeting.

In 2022, in partnership with St. Luke's Community Health, the Boise School District, and the City of Boise, we came together to launch a community-engaged, data-driven upstream prevention approach in response to the mental health challenges facing Boise's teens.

Last year, we officially launched the Communities for Youth Boise Initiative. The goal of this initiative is to engage city and school leaders, organizational partners, parents, and grandparents. Together, we aim to make Boise the best possible place for youth.

Each year, we follow a four-step process to build a shared understanding and meet the needs of youth living in Boise. The first step is gathering a group of folks, who want to be part of the upstream prevention approach. The second step is collecting robust data from youth on the risk and protective factors that may impact their well-being. The third step is sharing that data out and co-creating a strategy to address the key risk and protective factors impacting Boise youth. The final stage is what we call "keep the conversation going" and focuses on taking strategic actions and ensuring as many people as possible learn about the data and what we are doing for youth.

We are pleased to announce we will be having our annual organizational partners meeting for the Communities for Youth Boise Initiative on January 15th from 11:00-1:00pm at the Idaho State Museum in downtown Boise. Lunch will be served.

All organizational partners and other interested community members are welcomed to join us (even if you haven't participated in the past). Please RSVP here.

There will also be opportunities for parents and community members to get involved in late January.
