Preparing for a first job interview can feel overwhelming and intimidating, especially for teens who haven’t had many chances to practice.
That’s why we are excited to partner with Boise Cascade to host Boise Teen Mock Interview Day on Saturday, January 24, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Boise State in the Grant Annex Building (1023 S Grant Ave., Boise, ID 83706).
This hands-on event gives local teens the opportunity to build their confidence and experience interviews in a supportive, low-pressure environment.Â
What Teens Can Expect
Mock Interview Day is all about learning by doing! Participants will have the chance to:
Practice interviewing with working professionals from Boise Cascade. This is a great way to help reduce future interview anxiety and get you comfortable talking about your strengths and answering common interview questions.
Receive resume feedback and tips for improvement (bring a copy of your resume if you’d like feedback!).
Try panel-style interviews to experience different interview formats.
Learn how to stand out to employers, from first impressions to follow-up.
Enjoy snacks while connecting with peers.
Don’t miss this chance to make connections and polish your skills! By practicing now, you’ll be able to go into future interviews feeling prepared and self-assured.
