By signing below, we are affirming that young people are vital to the health and vibrancy of our community and as such should be treated as valued members. We pledge to treat youth customers and/or employees that visit or work with our business with respect and kindness and to actively support youth well-being through the Boise Communities for Youth (C4Y) Initiative.
Our Commitments
As a Youth-Friendly Business with C4Y Boise, we agree to implement one or more of the following youth-freindly actions. (Please check the boxes of the things you are willing to implement):
Create Youth Discounts. Offer discounts, coupons, or promotions (e.g., getting 10% off for showing your student ID). Please note if you select this you will get featured on GetOutThereBoise.org to make it easier for youth to find you!
Serve as a safe and welcoming place where youth can spend their leisure time. Please note if you select this you will get featured on GetOutThereBoise.org to make it easier for youth to find you!
Adopt Youth-Friendly Policies. (Examples include):
Hiring a certain number of teens
Providing regular volunteer, job shadow, or career preparation opportunities
Allowing respectful “hangout” time without purchase penalties
Other creative ideas that support youth inclusion
Host, Sponsor, or Contribute to Successful Youth Engagement and Events. (Examples include):
Working with C4Y and other partners to organize a youth-focused event at your business or helping arrange donated space.
Contributing items/goods for youth giveaways and door prizes.
Providing financial support for GetOutThereBoise.org
Once you have completed this form, a staff member or volunteer with C4Y Boise will reach out to provide your Youth-Friendly Business designation sticker and determine if you are in need of additonal support in achieving your Youth-Friendly Business goals.
